"The Presidents Call To Service" award was awarded to (l-r) Shirley Kerr,
Linda Cassidy and Gisella Thomas.
This is the highest honor of award presented by The Presidents Council on
Service and Civic Participation and given to dedicated individuals who
have given over 4,000 plus hours as volunteers during their lifetime. The
award winners received a beautiful framed certificate, a pin and a letter
of congratulations from the President of The United States, thanking them
for their volunteer work in recognition and appreciation of their
commitment to strengthen our Nation making a difference through volunteer
service.

The 5th
annual Gotta Have Heart awards luncheon, chaired by Gisella Thomas, was held
at Pomona Mining Company. 14 nominees were awarded plaques.
The 3rd Annual Spring Fling,
chaired by Robbie Motter, was held at the Santa Monica Harbor House with 134
women attending.
The 5th Birthday Garden Tea
Party was hosted by Corona Connection, chaired by Shirley Kerr. 31
participants and 8 members showcased their products.
Corona, Murrieta and Riverside
Connections hosted the 6th Annual Holiday Extravaganza, chaired by Shirley
Kerr, at the Canyon Crest Country Club in Riverside. 52 participants and 20
members showcased their products.

Network™ presented 3 members with Scholarships awards. 8 members received

donated to For You).

Participants of the Gotta Have Heart donations over $1,000 in toiletries and
linens for the Moreno Valley Homeless.
Participants of the Spring Fling
donated over $1,000 in baby layettes for a local homeless shelters.
Participants of the Extravaganza
donated 34 toys and over 100 non perishable food items for a Riverside food
pantry.
Beverly Hills hosted a
fund-raiser benefit for a women’s shelter. The proceeds of the ‘Glamour
Shots’ were donated to the shelter.

1. Founded network with seven women and five sponsors on
May 29, 2002. 2. Recruited about 150 members. 3. Established six different meeting places: High Desert, Pomona, Palm Springs, Rancho Cucamonga, Riverside and Oceanside. 4. Deliberated the 1st Strategic Planning meeting in Palm Springs.
5. Established the ' Gotta Have Heart' awards celebrating women’s achievements.
